Are you a Youth Worker with professional experience helping youth in residential care thrive? Kadiri House Group Home is the place for you to continue empowering youth to reach their full potential. We are seeking Youth Workers that want to have a positive impact on the community by changing lives of boys ages 8 to 17. We value creativity, learning, teamwork, fun, and out of the box thinkers that can lead and support youth in developing character traits that build a stronger community in North Minneapolis. We implement a holistic program approach to caring for youth that inspires them to be successful. As a part of the group home team you will provide care to youth placed in the home, document daily activities, use a case management system, organize activities, and provide supervision of group home residents. QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree preferred or a minimum high school diploma
- 1-2 years of youth care experience preferred
- 1-2 years of case management skills preferred
- 2-3 years of residential youth care experience, including de-escalation training, establish limits and boundaries, plan & execute educational, social & recreational activities, and critical thinking
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license or obtain one within 30 days from start date of employment, have a clean driving record and be insurable per our corporate drivers insurance policy and pass MBI, FBI and any other required background check
- Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for the residents in our care
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
